4th February 2012 7.30pm Music Of Renown Ensemble (MORE) The Platform, Faringdon Road, Swindon.SN1 5BJ To celebrate the accession of Her Majesty, the Queen on 6th February 1952, the Music Of Renown Ensemble, in collaboration with the Swindon Music Service and composer Rachel Stott, presents a programme of music with Royal connections. The concert will feature a performance of Walton's Facade - a jazz-based work written by the composer of the famous 'Crown Imperial', commissioned for the coronation itself. 7th August 8.00pm Music Of Renown Ensemble (MORE) Memorial Hall Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wilts SN8 1PA Avebury Vocal Ensemble (conductor Sir Peter Beale) Ian Crabbe (organ) Clare McCaldin (mezzo soprano/narrator) Music Of Renown Ensemble (featuring Sarah Markham, saxophone). A grand celebration of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee exploring works and composers featured in the Coronation. Starting in the Chapel, you will hear Walton's Crown Imperial, Parry's I was Glad and Handel's Zadok the Priest as well as having the opportunity to join in with Vaughan Williams' All people that on earth do dwell and Parry's Jerusalem.
