I first had a go at teaching when I was 11, teaching a girl of 8 and I loved it! I have had considerably more experience since those days, and have taught clarinet and saxophone to people from age 6 to 86. Nowadays I tend to specialise on the saxophone, specifically helping people to achieve their very best, improve their technique, and unlock their musical ideas. I believe that everyone is unique, and it is a privilege to guide them in their music making. I run a private teaching practice near Newark in Nottinghamshire, and welcome new enquiries. Beginner adults and people preparing for audition to music college or wanting consultation lessons are especially welcomed. I am also happy to coach quartets and other ensembles.
